Welcome to the Kevin Haime Junior Golf Initiative application process

I am excited to be bringing the Kevin Haime Junior Golf Initiative into its sixth season. I owe most of who I am to the game of golf. I can't think of a better way to give back than by growing the game of golf and giving kids with enthusiasm for the game the same opportunity to pursue their passion that I had. Over the last four years our initiative has already placed 305 kids onto high end private golf clubs by granting them annual memberships. Over the next several years our intention is to give hundreds more kids access to the area's top golf courses so they can develop as golfers and people. Nothing is more important to the development of junior golfers than giving them access to a quality place to develop their skills. We believe strongly in allowing kids with passion for golf the chance to chase their dream. Moving forward we will also continue to consider helping kids with equipment needs, instruction, tournament entries, and even scholarships dollars.

What is the Kevin Haime Junior Golf Initiative?

The Kevin Haime Junior Golf Initiative (KHJGI) helps kids who have already embraced the game of golf to pursue their passion. Through an application process junior golfers will be given access to golf memberships at area golf clubs.

Who is eligible to participate in the program?

Junior golfers between the ages of 9 and 17, as at January 1, are eligible for the KHJGI. Juniors must have some on- course experience in order to qualify for the program.

How are juniors selected for the program?

Juniors will be selected by a five person selection committee based on several criteria including need, circumstance, dedication to the game, attitude, eagerness to improve, and golf potential. We are looking for kids who want to play a minimum of 30-40 times a season. The KHJGI is not for kids who want to give golf a try or to play occasionally.

When will junior golfers be informed if they've been accepted to participate in the program?

Juniors who have been accepted into the program will be contacted by our Selection Committee ASAP and no later than June 1st each year. Selection of Juniors and memberships will be granted on a yearly basis.

Please complete the application in full. Only completed applications will be considered. Kids who are accepted into the program and their parent(s) or guardian must attend our half day spring tour school to be held at the Kevin Haime Golf Centre and agree to abide by the rules and code of conduct of their member club.
